After Infinity Ward hauled dedicated server support off to the gallows, many gamers figured that its partner in crime – modding – was next in line for the chopping block. It appears, however, that Infinity Ward’s had a change of heart. Not on the dedicated server thing, mind you – but one is better than none, right?

“Nothing on Dedicated Servers, but there may be some Mod Tools news coming in the future, I'll pass it along once I have it,” Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling tweeted in reply to a fan’s question.

Granted, Infinity Ward never explicitly stated that mod support was a complete no-go for Modern Warfare 2, but it’s nice to hear that the developer’s still got enough time for us PC gamers in between its assuredly frequent “Biggest Launch in Entertainment History” trophy polishing sessions.

Not that we blame them. You’ve got to savor records like that while they’re still yours, because these days, it’s only a matter of time before someone tosses out a Twilight dating sim and breaks every sales record known to man, setting the bar so high that our children’s children won’t even produce a series fit to lick its jewel encrusted boots. These are dark days, friends. Dark days, indeed.

ok when h3mod renames it self i want to make a youtube channel for achievement tut videos of like easy achievements and walk threws and stuff and im going to need a team for this if you are interested i would like something you have filmed and if you are just a very good editer please also pm me

Ok, I WILL buy a new domain this week (next 7 days). I WILL buy the update for IPB 3 this week. And I WILL start rearranging the forum this week. Based on everything I've seen here, H3mod should become a gen 360 site (like you siad), also have a decent section for rewards sites like lockerz, trainn, with a section for hacks for these sites. Sound good? You're absolutely right, I've been putting it off, and waiting for that skin that guy said he was making. Fuck it, we're getting rollin.

Looking at other popular sites, it looks like less categories is better. I actually like the skin, all I need to do is replace the rank things on the side of the forums and the banner.(someone else mentioned that as an idea, credit to you sir)

in a some-what controversial move, Microsoft has confirmed it will be shutting down the Halo 2 servers upon the release of upcoming title Halo 3: ODST.

According to the software giant, Halo 2 is a major factor contributing to certain changes not being made, for example the 100 friends limit cap. Original Xbox titles have this cap hardcoded into them, and so they're unable to make the changes.

Shutting down the Halo 2 servers will remedy this however, and Microsoft believes that with two Halo shooters available on the 360, gamers will forgive them for it.

Unlikely, as there'll definitely be some to take offence, but it all boils down to what do you want: more friends, or Halo 2?
